Task1.

What is professional/industrial experience?

-Industry working environment.
-Producing comercial work that may be distributed locally, nationally or to a global market. Including considerations like P.E.S.T.


Why is professional/industrial experience important as part of PPD?

-Helps/looks good having industry experience on your CV. Can improve you chances of getting a job.
-Gives you a more concise view at industry and if its the correct career path for you.
-Helps build up a confidence/techniques with working and communicating with clients and partners.
-Promotes yourself and gains contacts within the industry.
-Good profesional advise on your practice and how it may be improved/expanded.


How do you gain professional/industrial experience and what form does it take?

-By contacting agencies vier email, phone or letter and asking them for any time they will give you to look round there
practice and if they will be willing to answer some questions about the industry. Once they have gotten to know you this might result in getting a placement at there practice.
-Promoting yourself through your portfolio and through design competitions.



What should you aim to gain from professional/industrial experience.


-New and improved skills within your design practice.
-Knowledge about how the industry operates and what you need to improve.
-Contacts within the industry.
-Free promotion and a possible job with that design agency.
-Confidence.
