Above has a lot of relevance to me. I hope to go into editorial and publication design. This section of the book recommends that you go to a publishing fair and hand out examples of your work. Something i hadn't really thought of and its something i will do in the future when i produce something that i feel it worthy.
This section is something that i should consider during summer this year and possibly easter. Very much doing work for a company that's meant to be a one off but can turn into a larger ongoing project.
Fred always talks about new technologies and how design is becoming more dependent on digital distribution. This section talks about keeping on top of new technologies and understanding how to use them.
Something i noticed with the digital module so fare is that i'm not really a fan of it. There is students who are really good at it. Personally i feel i'm better at story boarding so this section pretty much talks about collaboration.
I remember watching a talk on Ted about the benefits of traveling and how its inspires you. This section talks about that and its something i will do at every opportunity.
Very much what the other section was talking about however its more about where you live not when you travel. I get bored in the same place very quickly. I don't really plan on staying in the same town or city for more than 3-4 years. I feel that sometimes the place you live can have a negative impact on you practice in the long run and that you should change you environment.
Hopefully i will get a second chance at a collaboration. There very useful and it does enhance your skills within your design practice.
